மண்ணிலே ஓருகவிஞர் உன்னிணை ஏலுமோ
விண்ணிலும் காண்கிலேன் வியக்கிறேன் தோழியே...

தங்கத் தமிழுக்கோர் அணிகலன் எனும் வண்ணம்
சங்கத்தமிழினில் சளைக்காமல் கற்றே நீயும்
இங்கோர் கவிஞர் ஈகரையில் உள்ளனள் என்றே
எங்கும் முழங்கியே உன்புகழ் பாடிநிற்பேன்...

இன்முகம் காட்டி என்றும் இனியவை பலவும் பேசி
புன்னகை மாறாத புதும்லர் போல்தான் நீயும்
உன்முகம் கோணாமல் உரிமையாய் கடிந்துநிற்பாய்
என்மனம் என்றும் வாழ்த்தும் இனியவளே என்றும் வாழி..

நட்புக்கோர் இலக்கணம் நீ நாடிவந்தோர் நலம்பெறவே
கட்டுக்கதைகள் பல்பேசி நாழிகை போக்கிடாமல்
பட்டென்று நறுக்காய் பண்பான மொழிகள் சொல்லி
சிட்டாகப் பறந்திடுவாய் சிறந்து நீ வாழி தோழி...

எண்ணிலா கவிதைகள் பலவண்ணம் இயற்றி நீயும்
பண்ணிலே தாய்த்தமிழை உயரவே ஏற்றினாய்
மண்ணிலே ஓருகவிஞர் உன்னிணை ஏலுமோ
விண்ணிலும் காண்கிலேன் வியக்கிறேன் தோழியே...

தங்கத் தமிழுக்கோர் அணிகலன் எனும் வண்ணம்
சங்கத்தமிழினில் சளைக்காமல் கற்றே நீயும்
இங்கோர் கவிஞர் ஈகரையில் உள்ளனள் என்றே
எங்கும் முழங்கியே உன்புகழ் பாடிநிற்பேன்...

இன்முகம் காட்டி என்றும் இனியவை பலவும் பேசி
புன்னகை மாறாத புதும்லர் போல்தான் நீயும்
உன்முகம் கோணாமல் உரிமையாய் கடிந்துநிற்பாய்
என்மனம் என்றும் வாழ்த்தும் இனியவளே என்றும் வாழி..

நட்புக்கோர் இலக்கணம் நீ நாடிவந்தோர் நலம்பெறவே
கட்டுக்கதைகள் பல்பேசி நாழிகை போக்கிடாமல்
பட்டென்று நறுக்காய் பண்பான மொழிகள் சொல்லி
சிட்டாகப் பறந்திடுவாய் சிறந்து நீ வாழி தோழி...

எட்டுத்தொகை மட்டுமல்ல பதினெண்கீழ கணக்குமல்ல
கட்டான வாழ்நெறி கவினுடன் கூறும்குற்ள
மொட்டவிழ்த்த மலர்போல் நீயும் அகமும்புறமும் கற்றாய்
பட்டு நின்ற வாழ்முறைகள் பலசொன்ன ஔவை நீயோ...

புன்னகைப்பூவே எங்கள் குருவாகி வந்த தாயே
என்னில் பலகுறைகள் எண்ணற்ற தோல்விமுகம்
உன்னில் அவைமறந்தென் அன்புக்கோர் பாலமிட்டாய்
முன்னிலும் வீறுகொண்டே வாழ்கின்றேன் உன்னால் தாயே...

ஈகரையில் ஆயிரம் பதிவுகள் நீயும் கண்டாய்
ஆகமம் உரைக்கும்நல் ஆதிகால வேதியர் போல்
போகும் வழிகூறி எழுதிவைத்தாய் ஆற்றுப்படை
சாகுமுன் தாயே உந்தன் தமிழ்க்கரங்கள் காணவேண்டும்...

என்றும் செந்தமிழுக்கு வேண்டுவேன் உந்தன் சேவை
நன்றுபல சொல்லி எம்மை நெறிமுறைப் படுத்தவேண்டும்
ஒன்றே நட்புக்கோர் ஒப்பிலா சின்னம் நீயும்
இன்றே வாழ்த்திடுவேன் ஆதிரையே ஏற்பாய் வாழ்த்தை...!
